General Abstract Submission Information


3rd International Conference on Bio-antioxidants “Natural bio-antioxidants as an inspiration for food science and pharmacy” will be focused on the following topics:

  • A. Oxidative Stress and Human Health
  • B. Natural Bio-antioxidants
  • C. Synthetic Analogues of Natural Bio-antioxidants
  • D. Homogeneous and Heterogeneous Lipid Oxidation
  • E. Food Analysis, Food Additives and Food Supplements
  • F. Advanced Methods for Analysis of Bio-antioxidants

Types of Presentation

  • PL - Plenary Lecture (Plenary speakers only)
  • KL - Keynote Lecture (Keynote speakers only)
  • YPP - Young Poster Presentation(Invited speakers only)
  • PP - Poster Presentation
  • YKL - Young Keynote Lecture (Keynote speakers only)
  • YOP - Young Oral Presentation

Deadlines

submission of oral abstracts until 30 June 2019
submission of poster abstracts until 15 August 2019
submission of last minute poster abstracts from 16 August to 10 September 2019

Guidelines

General Conditions


  • All abstracts must be prepared according to the guidelines given below and submitted only through the online abstract submission system before the deadlines specified

  • Upon successful submission of your abstract(s) you will receive an automatic confirmation e-mail as well as a copy of all data you have submitted. If you have not received one or both e-mails, please carefully check your spam folder before trying to contact us.

  • Please note, abstracts that are not submitted through the online abstract submission system will not be reviewed.

  • Please note, abstracts that do not match the abstract template will not be forwarded to further scientific evaluation, but they will automatically be sent back to the corresponding author instead and may be reconsidered only after being resubmitted in the proper form and within a reasonable time frame

Main rules and Regulations:


  • Resubmission of abstracts is allowed only before the determined deadline.The revised version(s) should be sent as a reply directly to the conference contact e-mail address: icba2019.nessebar@abv.bg.

  • Abstracts intended to be presented as oral presentations, submitted after the indicated deadline, will not be reviewed.

  • Abstracts intended to be presented as poster presentations, submitted after this date, will continue be reviewed as last minute poster presentations and will be included in the scientific programme of the conference, however, they will not be included in the book of abstract.

  • The Organizing committee will accept corrected/updated versions of already submitted abstracts only in the case these are not approved yet or after receiving an official request per e-mail to icba2019.nessebar@abv.bg, accompanied by a short motivation and a complete list of changes.

  • Once your abstract(s) match(es) the abstract template, it(they) will be forwarded to the respected Scientific committee for further scientific evaluation.

  • The Scientific committee keeps the right to decide which abstracts should be approved for oral presentations, resp. poster presentations, independently from the corresponding author's initial will, expressed at the time of the abstract submission, and its decision has to be considered final.

  • The Scientific committee keeps the right to decide on a final topic assignment upon abstract selection independently from the corresponding author's initial will, expressed at the time of the abstract submission.

  • The Organizing committee will give its best to make sure all participants remain satisfied with the final decision of the Scientific committee, especially in those whose participation depends on third party financial support.

  • By 20 July 2019, oral presentations will receive an e-mail nofication with an Abstract Acceptance Confirmation Letter attached, which will also indicate the session/topic and the form your abstract(s) is(are) approved to be presented in.

  • By 20 August 2019, poster presentations will receive an e-mail nofication with an Abstract Acceptance Confirmation Letter attached, which will also indicate the session/topic and the form your abstract(s) is(are) approved to be presented in.

  • Once your abstract(s) is(are) approved, you will not be able to make any further modifications to it(them) and it(they) will remain within the final scientific programme and the book of abstracts as submitted, so we strongly encourage you to carefully check your abstract(s) prior submission.

  • The presenting author, the corresponding author and their co-authors, if any, are fully responsible for the contents of their abstract(s).

  • • Each registered conference attendee is allowed to submit/present up to two abstracts co-authorship is not affected by this rule). Pupils can submit/present only one abstract. Accommpanying persons cannot submit, participate or present any papers.

  • All accepted authors have to register before submitting their abstract. More information about the registration can by found on the REGISTRATION page.

  • Authors of oral presentation are obliged to pay their registration fees not later than 31 July 2019 as discribed on the REGISTRATION page. If you need further assistance, please contact the event management team by e-mail to milena@cim.bg ; cvety@cim.bg.

Book of Abstracts


All abstracts along with the names and affiliations will be included in the published edition of the Book of abstracts, which will be distributed among all registered participants as a part of their conference set. As long as the authors of each particular abstract are fully and only responsible for its contents, any potential copyright issues and/or conflict of interests must be referred/addressed directly to them.

Publication of Full-Text Articles


Selected full-text articles based on the conference contributions (oral and poster presentations) will be published in the scientific journal Bulgarian Chemical Communications as Proceedings of the 3rd International Conference on Bio-antioxidants.

Guidelines

To prepare your abstract(s), please strictly follow these guidelines

General:

All abstracts must be prepared in Microsoft Word and formatted using the template provided below, while not exceeding one standard page.

Language:

All abstracts must be written in English without using any special characters, except for some scientific symbols.

File format:

All abstract files should be named like "Topic_Type of Presentation_Abstract_First Name Last Name", for example "C_OP_Abstract_Vessela Kancheva", and submitted either in *.docx, or *.doc format. Please note, the file size of each abstract is restricted to a maximum 2 MB.

Page settings:

Paper size - A4 (21 cm x 29.7 cm); Orientation - portrait; Margins - 2.0 cm top, 2.0 cm bottom, 2.5 cm left, 2.5 cm right

Title:

Font - Times New Roman; Font size – 14pt; Font style - bold; Case - capital letters; Text align - center; Line spacing - single; Paragraph spacing - 0 pt before, 0 pt after. Leave one blank line after. The title should be as brief and as concise as possible and should not contain uncommon abbreviations and/or special characters

Blank lines:

Font - Times New Roman; Font size – 12pt; Font style - normal; Text align - justified; Line spacing - single; Paragraph spacing - 0 pt before, 0 pt after

Authors:

Font - Times New Roman; Font size – 12pt; Font style - normal; Text align - center; Line spacing - single; Paragraph spacing - 0 pt before, 0 pt after. Leave one blank line after. The presenting author's name must be underlined, and the corresponding author's name should be marked with an *.

Affiliations:

Font - Times New Roman; Font size – 11pt; Font style - Italic; Text align - center; Line spacing - single; Paragraph spacing - 0 pt before, 0 pt after. Leave one blank line after. Each individual affiliation must be presented on a different line and preceded by the correspondence indices (1, 2, 3, ...) as superscripts.

Main body text:

Font - Times New Roman; Font size – 12pt; Font style - normal; Case - sentence; Text align - justified without indentation; Line spacing - single; Paragraph spacing - 0 pt before, 0 pt after.

Figure / Scheme:

We are aiming to keep the abstracts as informative and as visually attractive as possible, therefore we strongly encourage you to organize them as graphical abstracts, so please feel free to introduce some catchy figure or scheme having high contrast and resolution. Please note, the Book of Abstracts will be printed only in black and white or grayscale. Leave one blank line after.

Figure/Scheme caption:
